So, “one in three”? It’s a rock solid estimate. The IFS points to a third or more of business owners, even those with £1M+ revenue, struggling to crack decent personal pay, while ONS data backs it up: 74% of UK businesses are non employers, and their owners often take home peanuts compared to skilled trades.
